In 2025 Abigail Aaronson will debut her first novel, Lavender & Gin: A Sapphic Historical Romance. She has been writing for a lifetime and her work reflects her passion for queerneess, queer love, and the queer community itself.
As a research nerd, Abigail loves a good information rabbit-hole. Lavender & Gin weaves multiple histories, including the "pansy craze," Detroit's gangland underground, and America's notorious Prohibition era.
When she's not writing romance or researching whatever's caught her attention, Abigail cooks dishes like focaccia and Ukrainian apple cake with her recipe club, hangs out with her two cats Bo and Xena, or visits her wonderful family who live in the heart of the South.
Abigail Aaronson is an Atlanta native and still calls the city home. Between her mother (a professional playwright) and her father (a professional artist), creativity has always been in her blood. She's been reading and writing for as long as she can remember.
After an initial stint as a creative writing major, her inner research nerd won out. Abigail switched to an anthropology degree and later achieved Master's degree in epidemiology. While she still works a regular 9-5, the creative call returned, and she began writing again part-time.
You're watching it happen! Her debut novel, Lavender & Gin: A Sapphic Historical Romance is coming soon in summer 2025.
Abigail is inspired by her love of queerness, the queer community, and queer joy. She also loves a research rabbit hole and all the ways history can be intertwined with story to bring it to life.
